The workshops focus on providing practical experience of connecting EDI with Teaching and Learning in the context of post-pandemic pedagogy and creating structural EDI change in teaching and learning. 

Exploring Theory of Change using ‘ChangeBusters’

This one-day event aims to support those tasked with building evaluation literacy in HE organisations. It will provide an overview of how Theory of Change might be used in access, success and progression spaces of the student lifecycle.

Dr Liz Austen and Nathaniel Pickering will facilitate ChangeBusters game playing to model how it could be used. Attendees will then learn how to facilitate a ChangeBusters session in their own organisations.

Personal Development Course for External Examiners

This is the only training course for external examiners in the UK and was 
developed in collaboration with a range of HE providers and as part of the OfS funded Degree Standards project.

The course aims to enable aspiring, new or experienced examiners to:

• understand the role of the external examiner as articulated in the UK  Quality Code for Higher Education, and be confident to undertake it;
• develop a deeper understanding of the nature of academic standards and professional judgement, and explore the implications for external examining;
• use evidence-informed approaches to contribute to impartial, transparent judgements on academic standards and the enhancement of student learning.

Enhancing Programme Leadership

Enhancing Programme Leadership is designed for those who have responsibility for leading teaching and learning within their departments or divisions. This virtual programme aims to support programme leaders at a time when they may be new to leadership or looking to gain confidence in their leadership skills. It will address their unique challenges, opportunities and realities, by developing their networks and skills and providing tools to enable them to thrive in this unique role.

Principal Fellow Record of Strategic Educational Strategic Impact Support Session (PFRSEI) 

These one-to-one sessions are designed to provide support for colleagues who are starting the process of completing their Principal Fellow direct application 
(Descriptor 4 of the PSF2023), and who need more guidance on the Record of 
Strategic Educational Impact (RSEI) element.

Senior Fellow Writing Retreats

Senior Fellow Writing Retreats are an online opportunity for anyone with 
a sustained record of effectiveness relating to teaching and learning 
looking to attain Senior Fellowship (SFHEA).
