Simon Goldsmith

Simon has worked in the sustainability field for over 30 years, including almost 20 within the HE sector, and for 10 years as Head of Sustainability at the University of Greenwich. His two masters in Sustainability Policy and Sustainability Leadership have additionally supported by perspectives to deliver sustainability change. Simon has utilised his experience working for environmental campaigning organisations, large multinationals, governmental organisations and SMES within his current work. At Greenwich, he has maintained a leading role in the application of sustainability, maintaining the  First Class People and Planet position and a top 100 place in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking. He is currently completing the strategic approach to sustainability integration at Greenwich, launching in September 2024. Simon is also the Practice Chair of the London Higher Sustainability Network bringing together sustainability leads from over 40 of London’s universities and colleges to accelerate the sustainability transition.
