Has undertaken contracted educational research for Advance HE, the British Council, the Higher Education Academy, the Oxford Deanery, Health Education Thames Valley, and the Queen's Nursing Institute. Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of the British Educational Research Association, the Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain and the National Association for the Teaching of English. Recent publications include Enhancing Graduate Employability: A Case Study Compendium, eds. Norton and Dalrymple, Advance HE: 2019; and chapters in The New Newbolt Report: One Hundred Years of the Teaching of English in England (2021) and The Higher Education Personal Tutor’s and Advisor’s Companion (2022).
